business days.Public Works Supervisor – Vehicle Maintenance Division The Public Works Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, and supervises the activities of assigned personnel, equipment, and operations within the Public Works Vehicle Maintenance division. General supervision is received from a Public Works Manager. Direct supervision is exercised over one or more lead workers and assigned staff within the Vehicle Maintenance division. This is a working supervisor position with the vacancy on the second shift, which includes working evenings and nights. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Five (5) years of broad and increasingly responsible journey level experience is required; including two (2) years lead experience. A certificate from a qualified vehicle maintenance program or certificate in management from an accredited college may be substituted for two years lead experience. Possession of a valid Class A or B California State Drivers’ License with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain within six months is required. ASE Master Certification in one of the following fields is highly desired: Automotive, Medium/ Heavy Truck, School Bus, Transit Bus. Apply by September 19, 2008, 5 p.m. @ www.calopps.org.
